Shooting with the Zf. Me too, it's my only camera now, with either the voigtlander 50 f/1.0 or the voigltander 35 f/2 APO and that's the way it's going to be from now on until I know it's time for a change. Maybe never. Good to see you, Dan
Okay, about that French accent…. so all these months that you, Dan, have been telling us about this event, I thought you were saying Perry Photo. I kept wondering who is Perry and why does he have a photo event in Paris. I am beginning to think maybe you were saying “Paris” photo with a really bad accent. So perhaps just refer to it as Paris the way Americans say it… with the “s” at the end. Although… Pa-ree (swallow the “r”) isn’t that hard to say. Even French toddlers can say it! 😊
Just watching all those people on video put me in sensory overload! I applaud those who can be among so many of our species. One or two of us every two weeks is enough for me.
Dan, you did NOT invent the word “flitted” or “flit.” You know this of course. But anyone who heard him say that and believed him… Flit is a lovely old word that has been around a very long time. Interestingly, its archaic meaning is “shift.” Apt for the Shifter. Flitter. Flutter. Flatter. Ain’t language grand!
Thanks for all your help with my book. It was a very helpful critique. For anyone who wants a critique but is nervous- Dan is very kind and helpful, so just go for it
Thank you! I try to be gentle.
I couldn't agree more. I do not like visiting the "tourist" spots when traveling. I went to Egypt and told my guide I didn't want to see the pyramids or any other popular tourist spots. I wanted to see where and how people live.
Ive had Lyme since at least 2006, when I also tested positive for babesia bartonella, elechiosis, and other coinfections which I can't remember at the moment due to lyme brain fog.anyways, I saw an infectious disease dr back then and in response to him telling me that all these tests were positive, I asked what are we going to do about it? His response was "NOTHING! It usually is self limiting and goes away on its own" (he seemed to get pleasure out of refusing to treat anything). I said we'll I don't want to take any chances that they won't, and so he pacified me with a z pack. It took years to recover enough to function again and I have had a lot of other problems with my health since. I've also had a bunch of tick bites with and without a rash and had acute lyme about 8 or 9 more times since, including right now. I have had this episode since October and was completely bed ridden 22 hours a day from it and this time its affected my brain. My neck and head absolutely killwd me for 5 months and I finally convinced my dr to give me 2 weeks of docycicline, which will not heal it but hopefully it wont come back when I run out. It's not a pleasant med to take despite them acting like it's something that I'd choose to take if I wasn't sick as hell? My x of 25 years also suddenly got lyne in 2010, was refused antibiotics because of a negative screening, and her symptoms persisted until she ended up with brain and spinal leisions diagnosed as aggressive MS in 2013. She is a shell of herself since then and if it were "aggressive ms" then she wouldn't still be alive in 2024.. anyways, I have 0 faith in doctors or the USA medical system anymore and can't believe that at this day and age they shun everyone and make up ridiculous reasons why we remain sick
Dan I have to say. You inspired me to go on the hunt for books. I have lots now 😂. Im moving this week and I’m dying transporting them (in NY we are in heat wave)…I’m going to Paris next week hoping to get more too! I’ll be there for a bit, not good. 😅
Does the arrows have woolly beanie piercing tips? Hope your back gets better Dan
Great video! :) Are you still using this bag or have you found something better suited for your needs?
Which is more durable the Marathon Plus or the Tour I have had my Marathon plus for about 3 years it's needa changing as I am beginning to get puntures on it quite frequently now..🤨
Annie Leibowitz is like the In-n-Out burger, or if you want more fancy, the Michelin star of photography. Everybody says it's good but you don't know what the big deal is; so you try it, and try again, and again, and you still don't know what's the big deal is.
Water colors!! So cool!
Do you shoot? Saw the huxwrx hat in the thumbnail
Hmm surprised yet not surprised. I’m somewhat impressed with myself as I haven’t been on RUclips to see this headline until 4 months after it posted. Necessary move for the Dan I think. Paradox here is although you might come to RUclips as a refreshing outsider, eventually you become one of the very dopes you’re pointing to. Your time here was perfect for what it needed to be. Thanks for addressing some questions and comments and hope to see you in better spaces! I myself am going to borrow some of your inertia and minimize my life scope to the things I should be doing in this moment. I used to have a mentor that talked about kicking penguins off the iceberg. I never knew exactly what it meant but I think it’s in the same vein…
Hope all works out ok
Hope you get better soon. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
sending you loads of love dan. happy to see you in NM too! be well
Get better dude.
Hoping for good news for you. Speedy recovery Dan. Maybe it's a sign to go back to producing YT videos. 😂 Get well sir.
Regulate the nervous system. Brain retraining.
You left us hanging about the final treatment that worked😢
Amen brother misdiagnosed for over 18 years. Keep fighting for us.
The stone work, the masonry is incredible at that ruin. It looks like the stones were hewn or carved in some way to make them line up the way they do. Very different from ancient stone ruins in other places.
Oh and on the subject of Silkwood: CHER! Absolutely awesome, mind-bending in that film. F’ing Cher.
Streep: Ironweed. Of course, Sophie’s Choice. And Kramer vs Kramer because she wrote all her own scenes.
Okay, all those painters in whatever question that worked in color - they all began drawing. They all began work in grey scale, and then graduated to perhaps a terracotta and sepia drawing tool. All their paintings started with grisaille - the paintings were done entirely in grey scale - color was added in glazes after. But the years of apprenticeship and learning were long and they were drawing, drawing, drawing. And if you think they only worked in color, get yourself some books of master drawings, and at the least look at Albrecht Durer. Thank you. ❤
Bag obsession I think most photographers have that, I got it bad its a struggle
love the Zf, got one months ago
Watched this again (1st time I listened while driving (slight attention for this)) !!!!!!! 06/12/24 "MISS THIS LONG FORM STUFF" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) :) :)
Awesome walk and great to meet you!
Golf courses: Make a law banning all watering of golf courses for ten years. Yellowstone: really bad with formulaic violence built in every twenty minutes. Kevin Costner: the corpse in The Big Chill for those who didn’t know. And you can’t omit Field of Dreams, because, “Build it, they will come,” and James Earl Jones, Burt Lancaster, Timothy Busfield, rip roaring scenes with Amy Madigan (we all need her for a wife), Ray Liotta - “Is this heaven?” “No, it’s Iowa.” And Gaby Hoffman as a kid. And anyway, WP Kinsella wrote the original story at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. Oh, and they filmed scenes at Fenway long before the Red Sox were winning games, long before the park was refurbished, when it was just mucky Fenway. Field of Dreams - every blank sheet of paper is that - a field of dreams. Build it, they will come. And yes, ease their pain. Oh yeah, and go the distance.
See you tomorrow if you survive the chiropractor. Apparently the meetup is right outside the best photography shop in the city!
Yes. Right in front. See you manana.
For Jesse via Dan - thank you for your love, care, devotion to and dedication to our Queer/Trans kids and that community of which my non-binary cub is a part. Mine is only one year younger than you. They were in their thirties before they discovered who they really were and are today also very committed to the Q/T community, an amazing tribe of open, caring people. Our Q/T kids, no matter what age, need all the love and support they can get. Thank for “Are You Okay?” Thank you for your heart.
Canada…. My town ?
I really liked the questions written on the screen so all the focus was on the Falke.
Dawn I missed this too.
Has anybody tried autophagy...
Why didn't I know about this?!?!?
Get well soon Dan
When your dr stood up and basically said "you're shit out of luck" i felt that to my very core....😭 Its exhausting & crazy making...lymesince89 😭. Im exhausted! The look of panic on your friends faces...its horrifying Lyme is a shawdow...it will absolutely make you live life to the best of your ability... If you don't have the strength to do that...well to bad .... YOU. HAVE. NO CHOICE! to live pretending it doesn't exist within you is TO LIVE. A LIFE. HALF-ASSED. Its a horrible ending to a mediocre existence!!!!!! So glad you are learning to walk with it & thank you for sharing 💞
Wow ! That’s pretty cool. But you do sound like a ny’er- “pretty sure Seattle next to Florida..” i have a wedding in KY and have no clue where it is .I hope your back feel better with back. Thants my reality too. :(
Farting out of your mouth? Man for a mouth farter I respect you for the effort you're putting in. Respect. Solid work. Well done. Do some pilates. You'll be fine.
Flying past Mt Rainier is a memorable experience.
Why you continue to fart out of your mouth
What is the name of this pack?
Can someone explain this ”crimp the leaver” thing on the M4?
Curious about what languages, and dialects, Greg Girard learned and wish that had been asked. Fascinating interview.
